About the event
The 4th Yakutia International Science Fair is scheduled to take place from July 04 to 09. It is a prestigious competition that showcases research papers by schoolchildren from Russia and various other countries.
The competition consists of two stages, with the qualifying stage concluding on June 14th. The expert commission has selected 59 reports from a total of 104 schoolchildren representing 10 countries, 5 regions of Russia, and 3 regions of Yakutia and the city of Yakutsk, to proceed to the final stage. Out of the 104 participants, 28 students will participate in person, while 76 will take part remotely.
The presentations will be made by students from 24 educational institutions, including 7 from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and 3 each from the Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, and Sverdlovsk regions. Additionally, there will be representatives from the Stavropol Territory, Moscow region, Republic of Indonesia, Republic of El Salvador, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Thailand, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Turkey, Iran, Republic of India, and Kazakhstan.
The final stage of the competition will be held from July 04 to 09, 2022 in a hybrid format across four sections.
These sections include
- Mathematics, Computer Science and Information Technology chaired by Tatyana Semenovna Popova, a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University ;
- Physics, Astronomy and Engineering Sciences chaired by Ayal Mikhailovich Timofeev, a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Professor at the Department of Thermal Physics and Thermal Power Engineering of
the Institute of Physics and Technology of M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University;
- Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Chemical
Sciences chaired by Vasily Klimovich Pavlov, a PhD and the Rector of the Junior Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); and
- Social Studies and Humanities chaired by Lyudmila Sofronovna Zamorshchikova, a candidate of philological sciences and Deputy Head of the International Research Laboratory "Linguistic Ecology of the Arctic", as well as a professor at the Institute of Foreign Philology and Regional Studies of M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University.
