Встреча с архитектором из ЮАР Natalie Goni

Natalie Goni, архитектор из ЮАР, расскажет об особенностях современной южно-африканской архитектуры.

My topic:

The intersection of rural-urban culture and contemporary African architecture.

Architecture as a tool to spatialise rural culture in the evolving urban township of Gugulethu( Cape Town, South Africa).

The aim is to look at informality as the everyday manifestation of a community to resolve its basic needs to survive.

These informalities are rooted in culture as the primary source of expression. Thus my masters project was aimed at using architecture as a tool to evolve rural cultures in the urban landscape to help people financially, culturally and physically.
