On the July 21, we're going to have our second meeting to discuss the course of lectures on the philosophy of language by J. Searle. It's not too late to join us in our journey through the dark forest of konwledge toward the world's greatest thinkers and ideas. In this announcement, we want to remind you that listenting to this course of lectures is a necessary condition for attending our meetings. If you're not ready to learn the philosophy of language, there are plenty of other clubs where you can talk about weather, music, games, relationships, and things like that. Our club is focused on science and literature, so we're not interested in talking about anything but science and literature. To avoid confusion and to make our meetings meaningful and structured, we work with certain materials at home and then meet once a month to improve our understanding of these materials by talking about them within the context of the development of our club. Our long-term goal is to create an environment where regular participants would have an opportunity to master English beyond all formal standards and possibly become great thinkers themselves.
In addition to the course of lectures, this month we studying the article On Sense and Reference by G. Frege directly related to the course.
