As part of the implementation of the NTI "Circle Movement" Recreation Center in 2019, the Association of Participants of Technology Circles is implementing the federal project "Challenge 2035", which is designed to ensure the formation of a community of technology enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, including among young people. The theme of the championship is a Goldberg machine building competition. The implementation of such mechanisms develops engineering thinking, gives experience in working for results as part of a team, and requires a combination of non-standard approaches and sober calculation.

Competitions are held in 2 stages: qualifying and final. No more than 15 teams are allowed to participate in the final stage, having scored the maximum number of points based on the results of the assessment of passing the qualifying stage.

During the test, participants analyze customer requests for the machine, formulate requirements, create a schematic diagram of the machine, receive the necessary materials and equipment, create and test the machine itself, taking into account the formulated requirements for it. Then the participants make test launches, dock the participants ' cars with each other, shoot video materials about the operation of the machines and provide reporting materials.

The teams that scored the highest number of points during the final tests become the winners of the Challenge 2035 competition on the introduction of best practices to support the technical creativity of young people in the regions. Students participating in the first-place team receive personalized invitations to the nearest project school "Practices of the Future" in the region. Travel, accommodation, meals, and participation in the project program are fully paid for by the Association of Participants of Technological Circles.
